Additional security forces deployed in Sankhuwasabha after exchange of fire

KATHMANDU: Security personnel have been reinforced in Sankhuwasabha district following the exchange of fire that took place between the Nepal Police and cadres of Biplav outfit.

Nepal Police Headquarters informed that 50 additional security personnel have been flown in an MI-17 helicopter of Nepal Army to Silichong Rural Municipality to reinforce the team.

A total of 50 security personnel – 35 from Nepal Police and 15 from Armed Police Force – has reached Hyongla of Silichong Rural Municipality-1.

Police exchanged fire with the cadres of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand alias ‘Biplav’  in Silinchong Rural Municipality-1 of the district.

A total of 50 security personnel – 35 from Nepal Police and 15 from Armed Police Force – has reached Hyongla of Silichong Rural Municipality-1.

A joint long-range patrol comprising Nepal Police and Armed Police Force exchanged fire with a team of Biplav outfit for about 20 minutes, confirmed Nepal Police Headquarters.
