16-30 age limit proposed to enter government service



KATHMANDU: State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of Parliament has proposed 16-30 as an entry age into the government jobs. Similarly, in case of women and handicapped, a 16-35 cut off date has been proposed.

Lawmaker Prem Suwal had proposed this age limit arguing that the Nepali people get a citizenship when they reach 16.

The existing the age limit to enter the government service is 18 for the non-gazetted posts and 21 for the gazetted posts. Similarly, the maximum age limit to enter the government service for men is 35 and 40 form women.
