2 yarsa pickers die of altitude sickness

DOLPA: Three people, who had gone to highland of She Phoksundo Rural Municipality to pick yarsagumba, have died.  The deceased are identified as Krishna BK, 18, and Ramesh Chalaune, 22, of Barekot Rural Municipality-1, Jajarkot.

They died at Pyari Bhokpa due to high altitude, said police. Similarly, 38-year-old Buddhi Karki of Thuli Bheri Municipality-1 died on Thursday after he fell off a cliff while collecting caterpillar fungus.

It is learnt that the number of patients is growing day by day due to altitude sickness. Two yarsa pickers  from Jumla had died one month ago.
