KATHMANDU: The number of tourists vising the Trishuli River for adventurous rafting has gone down due to pollution.
Only 10 years ago, hundreds of tourists used to throng the Trishuli River for the adventurous white water rafting on a daily basis.
“The tourists visiting the Trishuli River for adventurous rafting has gone down by 80% due to pollution,” said Subas Adhikari, manager of the River Fun, Kurintar.
The Trishuli River, which was pristine earlier, is now murky throughout the year due to uncontrolled excavations at various places.
