China, US hold ‘productive’ trade talks in Beijing



BEIJING: China and the United States on Wednesday held “productive” trade talks in Beijing to end their protracted trade war, said US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Talks will hold around round of talks in Washington next week.

Mnuchin and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer held discussions before Chinese Vice Premier Liu He goes to Washington next week.

“Ambassador Lighthizer and I just concluded productive meetings with China’s Vice Premier Liu He. We will continue our talks in Washington, D.C. next week,” Mnuchin wrote on his Twitter account.
