Yugkabi prize to Dr Gautam



KATHMANDU: The ‘Yugkabi Siddicharan Prize-2076’ is to be presented this year to litterateur Dr Dhruva Chandra Gautam. He is being recognized for his more than half a century contribution to the advancement of Nepali literature.

The prize carries a purse of Rs 100,000. Gautam has more than two dozen creations including popular novels to his credit.

Likewise, the Yugkabi Siddhicharan Foundation has decided to honor senior journalist Homnath Dahal with the ‘Yugkabi Siddhicharan Journalism Prize-2076’ for his notable contribution to the field of journalism.

The prize carries a purse of Rs 51,000. Both the prizes are to be handed over at a function to be held to celebrate the 108th birth anniversary of Yugkabi Siddhicharan Shrestha on coming May 23, according to the foundation’s patron, Rabicharan Shrestha.
