7 injured in Bara-Parsa windstorm undergoing treatment at TUTH

KATHMANDU: Seven persons among hundreds injured by the windstorm in Bara and Parsa district on Sunday night are undergoing treatment in Kathmandu.

They were airlifted by a skytruk of Nepal Army and were admitted to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).

Those receiving treatment at the hospital are Sabina Khatun of Parsa, Geetadevi Patel, Mahamad Miya, Munaf Ansari, Krichan Patel, Suresh Patel and Aman Patel of Bara.

Among the injured, condition of Geetadevi is said to be serious. Doctors informed Khabarhub that preparations were underway to perform a surgery on her.

Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokharel reached the hospital and took stock of the heath condition of the injured. He also directed the doctors attending to the injured to provide all necessary treatment to the injured.

At least 32 persons were killed when windstorm hit Bara and Parsa districts.
