Seven NA officials infected with COVID-19



KATHMANDU:  A total of seven Nepal Army officials have been infected with the Coronavirus.

According to Bigyan Dev Pandey, the Spokesperson of the Nepal Army, four NA officials have been infected with the Coronavirus in the country and three abroad, who are currently serving in the peace-keeping mission.

Three NA officials were found infected with the novel virus at Mid-Eastern Division few days ago while one case was found in Bara on Tuesday.

According to Pandey, two NA peacekeepers tested postive for Coronavirus in Mali and one in South Sudan.

Meanwhile, swabs of 219 army officials at Mid-Eastern Division were collected and have been sent for screening and their results are awaited, Pandey informed.

Similarly, the preparations are underway to conduct RDT on 340 officials, according to the Spokesperson.
