Coronavirus kills 100, 572, infects 1,725,275 in USA

KATHMANDU: America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 735 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 100, 572.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 18, 952 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,725,275 so far.

Currently, 1,144, 734 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 17, 158 are critical.  Meanwhile, 479, 969 have recovered after treatment.

Based on this data, American has around 28 deaths and 30 percent infection cases among those killed infected by the Coronavirus globally.

New York is the worst-hit with 29, 451 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 11, 197 and 6,473 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 352,155 and infecting 5,681, 649 people as of Wednesday morning.
