Return date for Premier League could be agreed this week

LONDON: Clubs in the Premier League are likely to give the go ahead to the phase two of training introduction on Wednesday, which will prompt hopes that a return date for the competition could be agreed by the end of this week.

Reports said the league has already got the government’s approval for the next stage of Project Restart.

This, as reports suggest, will enable competitive and close-contact training in groups of up to 12 players.

Managers and players will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns over phase two.

According to the reports, Premier League officials will brief the league’s 20 officials and managers from the League Managers Association (LMA).
