Chitwan gears up to collect swab of suspected persons

CHITWAN: Swab would be collected from the people suspected of coronavirus infection at quarantine.

Similarly, the concerned hospital itself would collect a swab of the suspected patients of COVID-19 at the hospital and send to a laboratory for test.

Chief at the Health Office, Chitwan, Deepak Tiwari, said patients who are tested positive for coronavirus and in normal conditions would be kept at Bharatpur Corona Special Hospital.

Swab collection and admission of the coronavirus infected people are carried out at the hospital.

Similarly, the local levels have intensified the construction of quarantines.

Activities are on to form ‘Case Research and Investigation Group’ at the health section of local levels. The three-member group under the leadership of health employees would be formed for the same. With this, the groups would collect swab and conduct contract tracing of the people come in contact with COVIID-19 patients as well as carry out different researches.
Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai shared that chief medical superintendent of Bharatpur Hospital would make coordination for swab collection while the arrangement has been made where chiefs of health offices would coordinate for swab collection from quarantines.

A total of 993 people have undergone RDT and 1,132 undergone PCR tests in the district so far.
