Coronavirus death tally hits 18, 859 in Brazil



KATHMANDU: Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 18, 859 after 876 died in the last 24 hours.

With 18, 859 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 291, 579 as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 156, 037 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 116, 683 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 329,180 and infecting 5,079,  896 people as of Thursday morning.
