KATHMANDU: Russia has surpassed Spain in terms of infection cases becoming the second highest with 281,752 cases after the United States of America in the world.
America and Spain have 1,526,826 and 277,719 infection cases, respectively.
According to worldometer, 9,709 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours in the country. Comparatively, the date rate in Russia is low with 2,631 with 94 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Currently, 211,748 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country of which 2,300 are critical. Meanwhile, 67,373 have returned home after treatment.
Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 316,514 and infecting 4,798,408 people as of Monday morning.
