Lamjung sealed off until May 18 midnight



LAMJUNG: Lamjung district has been sealed off for the prevention and control of coronavirus from 12 midnight on Friday until May 18.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Crisis Management Center chaired by Chief District Officer.

Assistant Chief District Officer Anil Kumar Shahi said that it has been decided to seal the district with effect from 12 midnight on Friday till midnight on May 18.

“The meeting has decided to completely seal the border of the district to prevent and control the infection of COVID-19,” he said, “The meeting also decided to close all traffic except for vehicles allowed for urgent work.”

He added that it has been decided to completely stop the movement of vehicles and people other than ambulances, hearses, fire engines and vehicles allowed for urgent work.

He said that the decision has been taken to open medicine stores and shops selling essential food items only from 6 am to 9 am and to close all services including banks, financial institutions, insurance and cooperatives.
