NRNA launches signature campaign against encroachment



KATHMANDU: Non-Resident Nepali Association on Friday launched a global signature campaign against the encroachment of Nepal’s territory by India.

The campaign is aimed at putting pressure on India as well as a protest to the construction of roads in Nepal’s Lipulekh by the southern neighbor, according to the NRNA.

The NRNA will submit the signatures to Indian Embassy in Kathmandu on June 5.

The campaign continues until May 31 and signatures would be collected online across the globe, said information and communications and administration committee of the NRNA, adding that the signatures would also be submitted to Indian embassies in the respective countries, diplomatic missions and concerned bodies on May 30.
