5.3-magnitude quake jolts central Nepal



KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale rocked the central region on Tuesday night.

According to the National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, the tremor was recorded at 23:53 (local time ) with its epicenter near Maina Pokhari in Dolakha.

The tremors were felt in the areas including Ramechhap, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhuli, the Kathmandu Valley.

No causalities from the quake have been reported.
