7 die in a gas leak at LG Polymers in India’s Visakhapatnam



NEW DELHI: Seven people, including a child, died in a major gas leak at the LG Polymers chemical plant in India’s southern Visakhapatnam.

Scores of villagers were rushed to the hospitals in Visakhapatnam as they complained of headache, breathing problems and vomiting.

The gas leak occurred at LG Polymers chemical plant on Thursday. T

Photos and videos surfacing from the villages showed scores of people lying unconscious on the roads, Indian media reports said.

Several of them were seen trying to reach ambulances with unconscious children in their arms.
