69 tourists rescued from Pokhara

KATHMANDU: As many as 69 tourists, who were stranded in Pokhara due to lockdown have arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Swiss Embassy took the initiative to rescue 69 Swiss tourists, said Inspector Ganesh Khanal.

Other tourists who have been rescued from Pokhara are from France (40), Germany (11), Poland, Norway, Belgium, Portugal,  Australia, Italy, Canada, Sweden, Netherlands and Romania.

A health examination of the tourists was carried out before their rescue to Kathmandu.
