Two arrested for trafficking marijuana during lockdown

KATHMANDU: Three persons involved in smuggling marijuana during the nationwide lockdown meant to curb coronavirus have been arrested by police.

The police nabbed three people from Dhanusha and Nawalparasi (East) involved in racketeering marijuana in motorcycle.

Dhanusha Police arrested Pramod Das, 31, and Deep Narayan Das, 26, both from Videha Municipality-7, who were  riding on a bike — Ja 10 Pa 2312.

Likewise, the police deployed from Arun Khola Police Post arrested a person riding a bike registered Lu 59 Pa 9451 with 2 kg marijuana.

Suresh Kumal, 30, who was also in the bike fled the scene. Police have initiated a search to nab Kumal.
