US reports 55, 413 deaths, 812, 966 infection cases

KATHMANDU: The death toll in America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported deaths 55, 413 as of Monday morning.

No new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours according to Worldometer.

Currently, 812, 966 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which the condition of 15, 143 is critical.  Meanwhile, 118, 781 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 22, 275 deaths followed by New Jersey and Michigan with 5, 938 and 3, 315 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 206,973 and infecting 2,994,436 people as of Monday morning.
