Don’t panic over COVID-19 cases in State 1: CM Rai

BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister of State-1, Sherdhan Rai tells people of his province not to be panicked over the COVID-19 in the State.

Saying that the State government had enforced timely measures to prevent and control the novel coronavirus, Rai asked people not to worry over the current state of the virus spread.

Speaking at a program at Hatuwagadhi in Bhojpur, he said that the authorities have been able to make all preparations for the control of coronavirus by assessing the future situation.

“As a result, we are in a position of responding to the coronavirus,” he said.

It may be noted that one coronavirus case has been detected in Hatuwagadhi of the district.

Despite increasing cases of COVID-19 in the State, CM Rai said there was no need to panic.

He said that a 100-bed isolation hospital had been readied in Biratnagar and such facilities will also be established in other locations if need be.

The State government has allocated a total of Rs 95 million to distribute relief assistance during the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
