Police arrest a man who murdered his daughter

BIRGUNJ: Police have arrested a person on the charge of murdering his seven-year-old daughter in Birgunj of Parsa district.

The arrestee has been identified as Sanjaya Sah Sonar, 29, of Chhapkaiya, Birgunj-1.

According to DSP Birendra Bahadur Shahi, the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Sonar strangled his daughter, Anshu but claimed that she suicide.

Police said that Anshu was found dead in her room of her house on March 24. However, Sonar had claimed that it was a suicide when he informed the police. She was rushed to the Narayani Sub-regional Hospital where she was declared her dead.

However, police said the father had killed her. Meanwhile, police said Sonar he had pressed her throat not to kill her but to warn her against going out during the lockdown.
