KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) on Sunday extended the remand of Sulav Agarwal, who was arrested on April 7 on the charge of black marketing by another 10 days.
He is the owner of Shanker Group, a business organization.
The DAO had earlier remanded him in custody for another 10 days as the police could not complete the investigation.
The police had presented Agrawal before the DAO today seeking another extension, according to DSP Hobindra Bogati, the spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.
Agrawal was accused of selling thermal guns in an inflated rate in the market amid coronavirus pandemic.
He has also been accused of misusing a diplomatic mission’s vehicle in illegal activities.
