China could face consequences for COVID-19 outbreak, warns Trump



WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that China could face consequences if it was deliberately responsible for the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Trump ratcheted up criticism of China over its handling of the pandemic.

He said the spread could have been stopped there (China) before its outbreak, and it wasn’t.

Trump said the whole world is suffering because of China’s failure to do so.

Speaking at a press briefing at the White House, Trump said even if it was a mistake, ‘a mistake is a mistake’.

He warned of consequences with elaborating.
