28 Nepalis die of coronavirus worldwide



KATHMANDU: A total of 28 Nepalis have died from the COVID-19 in the foreign land till date.

According to the data provided by Health Committee under the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), 17 Nepalis have died in the UK, eight in the USA, two in the UAE and one in Ireland due to coronavirus.

Similarly, 1,166 Non-Resident Nepalis have been infected by the pandemic virus, Chairman at Health Committee Dr. Sanjeev Sapkota claimed.

As per the record, 700 Nepalis have been infected in the USA, 200 in the UK, 10 in Spain, 71 in the UAE, four in Germany, 22 in Portugal, 11 in Australia, 22 in Ireland, four in Saudi Arabia, 21 in Kuwait, one each in France, Japan, Myanmar and Hong Kong, three in Canada, four in Belgium, five in Switzerland and two in Malta.

NRNA has collected these data with the help of Nepal’s mission, branches of NRNA and local communities.
