4.7-magnitude quake jolts east Nepal



KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale has rocked eastern Nepal on early Thursday.

According to National Seismological Center (NSC), Lainchaur, the tremor was felt at 12: 55 am today with its epicenter near Phaplu Airport in Solukhumbu district.

The tremors were felt in Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Dolakha, aside from Solukhumbu, according to locals.

However, no human casualties have been reported.

Earlier, an earthquake with a 4-magnitude had struck with its epicenter in Bajhang on April 2.
