10 choppers on standby for rescue of COVID-19 patients



KATHMANDU: A total of 10 helicopters have been put on standby for the rescue of COVID-19 patients in emergency cases.

According to the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), 10 helicopter companies have kept their one chopper each on standby following a government’s direction.

The High-Level Coordination Committee on the Prevention and Containment of COVID-19 had written to all the helicopter companies and requested them to put one of their choppers on standby.

Choppers are on standby in Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar and Kathmandu.
