Gandaki province operates web portal to ease supply of daily essentials

POKHARA: The Gandaki province government has today launched a web portal to ease the supply of daily essentials amid lockdown enforced to suppress the possible outbreak of coronavirus infection.

The online portal would be used to collect details of the consumers and determine the supply of daily essentials for the residents of Kasi district, shared Gandaki Province Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Bikash Lamsal, also the coordinator of the province-level supply monitoring committee.

He further informed that the web portal which also includes data of people relating to the infection would facilitate supplying relief materials and daily essentials to the needy people in the Province.

The minister urged local people to use the portal for easy and efficient service. Data of various incidents relating to the infection would be updated on the website based on the forms filled by users, he said.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has managed a budget worth Rs 65 million to distribute reliefs to the affected people, he informed.
