Journalist Khadka distributes health materials in home-district

BHIMDATTA: As an attempt to encourage the medics in front in the battle against coronavirus, journalist Roshan Khadka has distributed some essential health materials to the medics working in his home-district, Kanchanpur.

Khadka, who hails from Beldandi Rural Municipality-2, is working as journalist in Kathmandu. He has provided 50 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), 800 surgical masks, 23 hand-wash, and 20 N95 masks to Belauri Municipality and Beldandi Rural Municipality.

Khadka, the editor of kathmandupati.com handed over those health materials through Pallav Raj Bhatta and Akkal Bahadur Bista of Belauri Municipality and Beldandi Rural Municipality respectively.

Dhan Bahadur Thapa, the Mayor of Beldandi Rural Municipality appreciated the donation and hoped that the health workers would feel safer to look after patients once they got the health materials including PPE.

“Health workers used to be at high risk and used to be hesitant to examine the corona suspected case,” Thapa said, “now with those materials, they will feel safer and carry out the tests more efficiently.”
