SANDHIKHARKA: Despite the Ministry of Health’s claim of supplying enough essential health materials in all districts, the medics in Arghakhanchi are unable to continue the thermal check due to lack of thermal gun used for taking temperature.

According to the medics in Arghakhanchi, they are in difficulties in taking temperature of people as all three thermal guns provided to the district are out of order now. Even the thermal gun at Arghakhanchi is not functioning these days.

“We have ordered for the thermal guns, they will come in 1 or two days,” Dr. Kapil Gautam, the Chief Medical Officer at Arghakhanchi District Hospital said, “We have been using ordinary thermometers for the time being.”

As a preventive measure against COVID-19 transmission, the returnees to the district used to get their temperature checked at Shitganga-12, Dohote based Coronavirus Help Desk.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Bishnu Raj Belbase, the temperature test at Dohote was halted since last three days due to lack of thermal guns.
