UK PM Johnson ‘owes his life to NHS staff’



LONDON: Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he owes his life to the staff of the NHS treating him for novel coronavirus.

Prime Minister, 55, thanked the medics at the London-based St Thomas’ Hospital where he is recovering after three nights in intensive care, international media reports have said.

PM’s statement comes at a time when UK deaths from the virus are likely to pass 10,000.

The UK on Saturday recorded 917 new coronavirus deaths, taking total deaths to 9,875. (With inputs from Agencies)
