Salaries of docs, health workers will not be slashed: Health Ministry



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has clarified that salaries of doctors and health workers will not be slashed.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Friday, Spokesperson Bikash Devkota said that their salaries will not be cut for the government’s fund for COVID-19.

“A meeting of Cabinet held on March 24 decided to slash salaries of employees and deposit it in the fund. The Ministry has not issued a directive to slash salaries of doctors and health workers deployed under the Ministry,” Spokesperson Devkota said, “The Ministry would like to appeal them to work with high morale.”
