NHRC forms high-level committee to monitor human rights during COVID-19 outbreak

KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has formed a high-level committee to monitor the human rights situation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The committee comprises  NHRC member as Coordinator and office-bearers of Nepal Bar Association (NBA), Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) and NGO Federation of Nepal as members.

The committee has been entrusted to monitor efforts made by the government to contain COVID-19, management of treatment, customer rights, freedom of expression and justice delivery among others.
