3 involved in killing daughter-in-law nabbed in Birgunj

Police seizes the dead body in pyre



BIRGUNJ:  The father in law, mother in law and the deceased’s sister in law involved in the murder of Urmila Devi Pandit 25 are arrested from Bahudarmai-8, Ram Nagari Tol Birgunj.

Parsa Police said that it has arrested Suresh Pandit 60, Ful Kumari Devi 55 and Malati Devi 23 at the alleged murder case of Urmila Devi Pandit 25 of Bahudarmai – 8, Ram Nagari Tol, Parsa.

According to Chandra Singh, the Police Inspector of Area Police Office Pokhariya, the three arrested are the father in law, mother in law and sister in law of the deceased.

The alleged were nabbed with semi scorched corpse on pyre, they were burning at the nearby ghat Saturday night.  “Allegedly, they had killed Urmila and taken to the ghat for cremation so that the cause of death would not come under interrogation,” Inspector Singh said, “the half burnt body will be sent to Narayani Hospital for post-mortem; we are probing further in the matter.”

According to the police, the husband of the deceased has gone for foreign employment.
