COVID-19 death toll in Italy climbs to 12, 464



KATHMANDU: Italy has the highest deaths of all across the globe. The death toll from the coronavirus in the European country has reached 12, 464 after 837 died in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, the total number of people infected with the COVID-19 has reached 105, 792 after 4, 053 were infected in a single day.

Currently 77, 635 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals, of which 4, 023 are critical. According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, 15, 729 have recovered so far.

The first case of coronavirus had been reported on January 29 in Italy.
