NHRC returns Rs 2 million from its annual budget to fight COVID-19

KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has said it would return the amount of Rs 2 million from the annual budget allocated to the human rights watchdog by the government for this fiscal year.

The NHRC said it will not spend any money except for its regular administrative costs and would try to save the money to contribute it in controlling the novel coronavirus spread in the country.

It has asked the government to us the money to prevent and control of the pandemic.

The NHRC has also said that it postponed all activities scheduled for this fiscal year.
