BPKIHS in Dharan starts coronavirus test



DHARAN: The BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) has started COVID-19 test from Sunday, the first outside the lab test outside the valley. Prior to this, Teku based National Laboratory used to conduct such test.

The Dharan-based BPKIOHS has started the coronavirus test in its lab from Sunday.

According Prof. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, the Head of Internal Medicine Department of the Academy, the lab can execute throat swab test of 12 persons at a lot.

Throat swab test is conducted to verify coronavirus infection.

According to Ministry of Health and Population, out of 875 samples tested in Teku based National Laboratory 5 turned coronavirus positive.
