BIRATNAGAR: A high-level committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister of Province 1, Sher Dhan Rai has decided to provide extra facilities to the security forces, health-workers and other staff involved in providing health related facilities and security service of the province.
Offering details about the meeting Chief Minister Rai said, “The security forces and the team of doctors and health-workers who work so hard irrespective of the health hazards and the holidays deserve something to boost their morale. So the provincial government has decided to address their hard work with some incentive.”
Rai assured essential supplies would be ensured and provisions would be taken to support livelihood of poor, daily-wage earners and weaker sections of the society if the duration of lockdown against the COVID-19 is needed to be extended.
The meeting has formed various committee to make the prevention, control and treatment in the province more effective.
Chief Minister Rai will coordinate the committees related with coordination and contact with local levels, corona prevention and control and awareness programs, when Minster for Internal Affairs and Law Hikmat Bahadur Karki will lead Quarantine, Transportation and Security Management Committee.
Similarly, Minister for Social Development Jeevan Ghimire will be coordinating Isolation and Specialized Hospital and Laboratory Mobilization and Management Committee to mention few.
The Provincial Assembly Members are assigned to look after their respective constituency.
106.8 million to Security Committee
The meeting has also decided to provide 106.8 million rupees to security committees.
The fund management committee’s meeting assigned Nepal Army the role of management of quarantines, coordinating with District Administration Office of the provinces and taking the suspected or infected victims to Corona Hospital.
Similarly, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are assigned to ensure security of quarantine area, the security of the infected and enforcement of lockdown.
