Nine who came in contact with COVID-19 infected person quarantined



DHANGADHI: Nine people who came in contact with the fourth COVID-19 infected person have been kept under quarantine.

Nepal had reported a fourth COVID-19 case on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the 34-year-old man of Dhangadhi who had recently returned from Dubai had tested positive.

Seti Provincial Hospital has kept the family members of the man hailing from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-5, Taranagar under quarantine.

Eight family members and a person who took the man to the hospital were taken to the hospital on an ambulance on Saturday morning.

The man had arrived through an aircraft of Fly Emirates to New Delhi from Dubai and Kathmandu from the India Capital city through a flight of Vistara Airlines on March 20.

He then had flown to Nepalgunj through a flight of Buddha Air and had reached Dhangadhi on a microbus the next day.

He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after complaints of cough and fever. His swab sample was tested at National Public Health Laboratory which came out to be positive.

Meanwhile, the man has said that he has not received any treatment from the hospital. He has complained that no doctors have been attending to him.

The hospital has said that his health condition was normal.
