PADT puts ceiling on the number of people in funeral procession



KATHMANDU: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) on Friday issued a notice to not bring more than 25 persons for funeral procession at the Aryaghat in Pashupati.

Chairperson of PADT, Pradip Dhakal informed that the decision to this effect has been made in line with the government’s decision prohibiting gathering of more than 25 persons.

Dhakal said that they have issued instruction to not bring more than 25 persons for cremation.

Likewise, the daily aarati (religious prayer) held in the evening held in Pashupati Temple has also been stopped.
