Province-1 govt urges central govt to close border points with India

BIRATNAGAR: The Province 1 government has urged the federal government to shut down all border points with India.

A committee for prevention and control of coronavirus pandemic meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai took the decision on Friday considering the risks of infection.

The Province-1 government, which has border points with India at Pashupatinagar, Bhadrapur, Kakarbhitta, and Biratnagar, has decided to stop the movement of people apart from the supply of essential goods.

Likewise, the Province-1 government has also decided to launch a temporary 50-bed hospital at the building of National Trading in Biratnagar within seven days.
