NRCS operates mobile blood donation bus



POKHARA: The Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS), Kaski has introduced a bus designed to organize mobile blood donation camps.

The bus worth 10 million rupees was received with the financial support of the local Rotary Club of Annapurna Pokhara and the Korean Rotary Club of Yangzu, according to NRCS Kaski chair Dola Raj Pandey. The bus is equipped with medical tools and appliances essential for blood donation and collection.

With the help of the bus, blood donation can be carried out during rain or adverse weather condition and at any location. The bus will be used to collect blood with Pokhara as the main center and in neigbouring Tanahu, Lamunj, Syangja, Parbat, Baglung, Gorkha and Myagdi districts in Gandaki, said Dharma Raj Thapa of the chapter.
