Eight injured in Gorkha jeep accident



GORKHA: Eight people were in a jeep accident at Saurpani in the district on Tuesday morning.

A jeep, Ba 15 Cha 1016, heading to the district headquarters of Gorkha from Barpak Sulikot-4 veered off the hilly road and fell down near the Chhaharekhola at 7 am today.

According to District Police Office, Gorkha, the injured are Bimala Gurung, 19, Rama Gurung, 20, Shreeman Tamang, 33, Put Bahadur Gurung, 60, Kshetra Kumari Gurung, 60, Tek Man Gurung, 37. The condition of Bimala, Rama and Shreeman among those injured is said to be critical.

The jeep fell some 200 meters down the road. The accident site is some 50 kilometers from the district headquarters.
