KATHMANDU: The government has decided to adopt a high caution against a possible spread of coronavirus in Nepal.
Summoning ministers to prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday evening, PM Oli directed them to make necessary preparations.
The decision comes at a time when the World Health Organization (WHO) has said that Nepal is at a very high risk of coronavirus.
The organization has placed Nepal in a very high-risk zone saying that if coronavirus is spread in Nepal it could create a horrible situation.
The meeting also formed a high-level coordination committee led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokharel.
Home, Tourism, Health, Finance and Education among other ministers are the members of the committee.
