NCP Chair Dahal in Sukute

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reached Sukute of Sindhupalchowk district with all his family members at a time when the internal party conflict is getting thornier.

Dahal often opts for an isolated place, perhaps for recreation, whenever the politics of the party or the country gets tougher.

NCP leaders have been divided after the Secretariat meeting recommended to nominate Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam as a member to the National Assembly.

Dahal, Gautam, party senior leader Jhalanath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Narayan Kaji Shrestha are in unison to not seek any alternative to Gautam’s candidacy while Prime Minister KP Oli  is against the idea of nominating Gautam to the National Assembly.

PM Oli, also the NCP chairman, is in favor of giving continuity to Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada.

Sukute, which is located in Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality, is 68 kilometers far from the federal capital Kathmandu.
