Police constable opens fire on himself



SINDHULI: A constable of District Police Office, Sindhuli has opened fire on himself.

Police constable Chandra Kishor Raya, who originally hails from Mahottari, opened fire at his stomach, according to SP Ranju Sigdel while on duty yesterday.

Seriously injured Raya was rushed to Kathmandu after preliminary treatment at District Hospital, Sindhuli.

“Raya received a bullet and he was sent to Kathmandu after his treatment was impossible at District Hospital, Sindhuli,” said SP Sigdel.

Police said they are investigating the case and trying to identifying the cause behind the incident.
