Three die in road accident



DHADING: Three persons died in two separate road accidents in Gajuri and Benighat Rorang of Dhading district.

Police said seven-year-old Prajjwal Gurung died on the spot when a bus — Na 2 Kha 5057 — en route of Talti from Malekhu hit him.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rupak Khadka said the police have impounded the bus while the driver fled the scene.

Likewise, two women died when a bus — Lu 2 Kha 135 – heading to Kathmandu and a scooter — Ba 98 Pa 7058 — from the opposite direction collided with each other at Chambas of Gajuri along the Prithvi Highway today.

Police said scooter rider Sharmila Silwal, 22, and cine artist Mahima Silwal, 20, of Gitanagar in Bharatpur died while receiving treatment in separate hospitals.

The Silwal sisters were heading to their hometown in Bharatpur.
