NRT beats APF 3-2 in ‘A’ Division League

KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) faced a defeat in the hands of New Road Team (NRT) on Sunday after conceding two goals in an interval of five minutes.

In the match played at ANFA Complex, NRT took a lead in the 24th minute of the game with a goal from Andre Therry. Nabin Lama of APF leveled the scoreline adding a goal in the 41st minute.

Aashish Lama of APF added another goal in the 53rd minute to manage a 2-1 lead against NRT.

Jordon JR Ndemba scored for NRT in the 80th minute of the game to level the tally and Darsan Gurung netted a goal in the 85th minute to seal a win for NRT.

With the win, NRT has climbed to the fourth position in the points table with 11 points from seven matches, while APF is placed 12th with five points.

In the second match to be played at 3 pm, Saraswati Youth Club is facing Friends Club.

Saraswati that has been placed last in the points table facing defeats in all the matches will be eyeing its first win in the tournament.

Friends is placed third from the last in the points table gathering five points.
