UN projects Nepal’s economy to grow at 7.1pc this fiscal



KATHMANDU: The United Nations (UN) has forecast that Nepal will achieve a growth rate of 7.1 percent in the current fiscal year.

The forecast is greater than by the World Bank. Earlier, World Bank had projected a growth rate of 6.4 percent for Nepal.

UN in a report ‘World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) 2020’ said Nepal will achieve a growth rate of 6.3 percent in the next fiscal year.
