President Bhandari extends sorrow over Australia’s bushfires



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has offered sorrow over the devastating bushfires in Australia.

In a tweet on Saturday, President Bhandari wished for the concerned authorities to douse the fires at the earliest and appealed to the world community to minimize the effects of climate change by conserving nature and culture.

The bushfires have left many people and thousands of wild animals dead and destroyed thousands of acres of forest lands.
